1. Data controller

MentorMatch (CVR 46612299) is the data controller for personal data collected on this website. Contact: kontakt@mentor-match.dk

2. Data we collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Name, email address, phone number and address
• Role (student or tutor)
• For tutors: gender, city, hourly rate, teaching mode, biography and subjects
• For students: educational institution and city

When you submit an application we store the original message and a redacted copy with personal details removed.

What the tutor sees: When you send a request, the tutor sees your first name, gender, city and postal code, along with the subject, institution, level, teaching mode and the redacted version of your message. Your last name, email address and phone number are only shared once the tutor has paid to unlock the contact. Your street address is never shared with the tutor.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your data to fulfil our service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) — connecting students with tutors. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Storage and retention

Your data is stored on servers within the EU. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

5. Third parties

• Stripe — payment processing (card data never touches our servers)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Database hosting — EU region

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (httpOnly session cookies). See our Cookie policy.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data. To exercise these rights email kontakt@mentor-match.dk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
